Be Your Own Boss (BYOB)

Through this initiative developed in strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), Pernas creates opportunities in the franchise, pre-franchise, and licensing sectors, specifically targeted at youth and women.

Objective

To cultivate youth and women as franchise business owners by providing financial assistance and a structured training programme, followed by six months of business mentoring and monitoring upon commencement.

What’s Offered

  • A holistic and competitive entrepreneurship programme for Bumiputera participants, covering business matching, financing assistance, structured training, as well as business coaching and monitoring.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to join flagship programmes such as:
    • Young Entrepreneurship Engagement Talent (YOUNITY)
      Successful Women Entrepreneurship Engagement Talent (SWEET)

How to Get Started

This initiative also supports pre-franchisors and master franchisees in expanding their business in Malaysia. For master franchisees, the rights must first be obtained from the franchisor.

1. Attend the BYOB Outreach Programme

2. Register and agree to the terms and conditions

3. Receive an offer letter from the franchisor / pre-franchisor / licensor

4. Submit your financing application

5. Complete the 2-day training programme

6. Launch your business

7. Receive ongoing monitoring and guidance for 6 months

Aimed at youth keen to venture into franchise business, YOUNITY provides financial assistance, structured courses, and ongoing business advisory support.
