Objective
To empower bumiputera veterans and retirees to enter the franchise business through structured training, mentoring, and consultation—strengthening Malaysia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Programme Composition
Target Groups:
- Malaysian uniformed service veterans;
- Government retirees;
- Corporate or private sector retirees;
- Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS) participants;
- Mutual Separation Scheme (MSS) participants.
Purpose of Financing:
- For new or existing business ventures;
- Purchase of equipment, machinery, or renovation;
- Working capital.
Eligibility Criteria for Financing Application
Applicant:
- Bumiputera;
- Retiree or veteran from uniformed services;
- Aged between 41 and 65 years;
- Must be free from legal action and not declared bankrupt.
Business:
- Must have been in operation for at least one (1) year*;
- Must be Shariah-compliant*;
- Brand must be registered with the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO)*.
Note: These criteria are only applicable to participants interested in enrolling in the PERNAS Franchise Development Programme.
